Pantheon of Gods

The gods revealed themselves long ago, in the early days of the world. Their influence in the world has waxed and waned over the eons. Nothing is known about why this is so. In the current era, most believe the influence of the gods is waning. Some remain steadfastly loyal to their chosen deity. Others search for a more tangible connection to a greater being. Some have forsaken the gods completely. Very few dispute the existence of the gods. The clerics, priests, and other holy practitioners still wield power granted by divine influence. But most scholars believe this connection to be weaker than in past eras.
